Hyderabad: Early on Monday, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, the Telangana PCC Chief, was campaigning at his local constituency, as Monday turns to be the last day for political campaigning. During this episode, at weavers’ colony in Jangaon municipality jurisdiction, a student named Vijay Bhaskar tried to hurl a chappal at Ponnala Lakshmaiah. The Congress Party activists who noticed this attempt banged the student viciously and taken him away from the spot. Upset over this matter, Ponnala turned back from that place without further campaigning.
It is learnt that the local people of Ponnala’s home constituency are dissent and unpleased over Ponnala’s attitude. They allegedly claim that Ponnala has not done any good for the people of his own constituency. Nevertheless, the details regarding why the student went to such an extreme level was not known as of now. More details are awaited.
