Engg graduate wins ZPTC in East Godavari

Rajahmundry: Everyone hates present politics and terms it dirt but nobody comes forward to cleanse it. But, one well educated woman from East Godavari has decided to cleanse the politics and to be part of the development instead of pelting stones against it by staying outside. We are talking about Palaparthi Roja, an engineering graduate, who has chosen politics ahead of job and won as Zilla Parishat Territory Constituency member at the age of 22 years.

Roja, who is determined to serve the people, has got the opportunity to contest as ZPTC from Kadiyam mandal and she won the seat with huge majority of 14, 225 votes. Born into a Dalit family in Jegurupadu in Kadiyam mandal, Roja completed schooling in Rajahmundry, intermediate in Vijayawada and completed engineering graduation in Mechanical from SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram. Roja has got inspiration from his father, Prakash Kumar who was elected as MPTC in the past. Taking queue from Jegurupadu village which has been selected as the best village in the country, Roja wants to develop all the villages in Kadiyam mandal on par with Jegurupadu. Roja thanked TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for giving her an opportunity.
