Naidu nominates Dayakar Rao as TDLP leader
Hyderabad: Naidu Nominates Dayakar Rao as TDLP Leader, The TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, who had cleared the name of a BC leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav as the TDLP leader in the Telangana State Assembly, in a sudden move decided to nominate the party senior leader E Dayakar Rao as the leader of the Telangana TDLP.

Hyderabad: The TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, who had cleared the name of a BC leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav as the TDLP leader in the Telangana State Assembly, in a sudden move decided to nominate the party senior leader E Dayakar Rao as the leader of the Telangana TDLP.
It is understood that Naidu had offered the post of deputy leader to Srinivas Yadav. However, Yadav strongly opposed the move and refused to accept it. He told the party leadership that he would prefer to remain as an MLA if he was not offered the post of TDLP leader.
Meanwhile, the party MLA from Sattupalli segment Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was appointed as party's Whip in the T-Assembly. TDP has 15 MLAs in the Telangana Assembly whereas its ally, the BJP, has five seats in the recently held Assembly polls in the new State. As far as Telangana Legislative Council is concerned, party MLC Arikela Narsa Reddy was as the TDP's leader in the Upper House. Reddy, who hails from Nizamabad district, is a trusted lieutenant of Naidu.
