Hyderabad: Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, will leave for New Delhi either on June 25 or on 26, based on the appointment he gets from Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. So far, the appointment hasn’t been confirmed to CMO. This visit becomes prominent as this is his first ever visit of Naidu to Delhi after he assumed the reins of power of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources, Chandrababu is worried for the special category status for Andhra Pradesh and is likely to request the Prime Minister to hold the National Development Council (NDC) meeting as early as posible to approve the special category status.

It is also likely that the discussions on Polavaram Project may also take place, apart from discussing the waiver of farm loans and request Central assistance to fund them and direct the Reserve Bank of India to accept the state government’s request to pay the money in instalments, added sources.
