Hyderabad: The land registration in the 19 Mandals near Vijayawada-Guntur has been halted till further orders. Going on with the state’s new capital rumours near Vijayawada and Guntur, the land costs near these areas have touched the sky within no time. Even then, the state treasury is not getting the expected revenue from the land registrations.
It is learnt though the market value of the lands has been increased many folds. However, the revenue generated by the government through the registrations has been remaining the same, reportedly. The IG of Registrations Department has allegedly passed the orders to survey the market value of the lands in these two districts.
The move undertaken by the government was intended to increase the revenue by deciding the value of lands approximately the same to that of the market values. The orders have been verbally issued to the concerned officials to stop registration of lands in 19 mandals in these two districts, reportedly. The official GO may be issued within a day or two, added sources.
