Speaking to mediapersons, the APNGOs president P Ashok Babu said the employees were ready to move to the temporary capital, Vijayawada. However, he wanted the government to first identify the departments of public importance to move out of Hyderabad. The departments or offices like the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Irrigation, Revenue, Civil Supplies, Health, Education and the Engineering can be relocated to the temporary capital, he said.

He, however, felt that relocation of all departments at once was not feasible because the division of All India Service Officers (AIS) and gazetted and non-gazetted officers was yet to be completed. The process of the division of files and finances too remained incomplete, he said.

Ashok Babu said that just 25 per cent of the employees were ready to move to Vijayawada. He advised the government to relocate the departments and officials required for day-to-day function of the government. He cautioned the government against transferring the officers and employees without taking their consent. He said some of the employees were not prepared to move out of Hyderabad. In some cases, a certain number of employees cannot move out of Hyderabad as their spouses remained in Telangana State government service. Total relocation of all departments would become possible only after the capital city was built, he said.

The APNGOs of west Krishna district unit president A Vidya Sagar, secretary Md Iqbal, AP Library Employees' Association president K Madhusudhana Raju and others were present.
