Replying to a question posed by Mudhole MLA G Vittal Reddy during the Question Hour, Rao said the State government had been making efforts to get Rs 241 crore from the TTD at the earliest. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had also directed the officials to expedite the process. He said that while the TTD owed Rs 241 crore as per the Re-organisation Act, it came to around Rs 381 crore as per the CAG report. He said the TTD would deposit the amount in the account of Endowments Department, and in turn, it would release the amount to the State exchequer.

Rao also announced that Yadagirigutta Temple would be developed at a cost of Rs 100 crore, on the lines of TTD. He assured that the government would take all steps to develop temples across Telangana State.

The Minister said the previous government of united Andhra Pradesh State gave priority to sanctioning the Common Good Fund (CGF) to Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. Further, he said 33 applications of CGF worth Rs 17.11 crore had been pending for Telangana temples.
