Is Jagan playing KCR card against Chandrababu?

The adage that enemy's enemy is your best friend, fits into the political theatricals in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This factor is becoming more apparent if one were to consider how YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is playing a political gamble to embarrass Chandrababu Naidu. Many believe that what all Jagan did and said was at the behest of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao whose bitterness against the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is proverbial.

In more ways than one, the YSRC chief has opened up a front with BJP and also TRS to affront and confront Chandrababu Naidu who had embarrassed and belittled him in and out of AP Assembly by exploiting Jagan's nativity and fledgling.

Just look at the past. There was no single incident when KCR attacked YS Jagan verbally even during elections. No one knows the reason or logic for this. KCR cursed every opposition leader including Prime Minister Modi, but never pointed a finger at Jagan. Moreover, neither KCR nor minions stalled YS Jagan's Odarpu Yatra in Telangana or the Paramarsa Yatra of Y S Sharmila. In fact during the 2014 elections, KCR had declared that Jagan would form the government in Andhra Pradesh.

The general talk is that KCR has struck a deal with Jagan. He has not touched any of the properties of Jagan, like he did of Gurukul properties or that of even actor Nagarjuna in Jubilee hills. Not even a inch of Lotus Pond assets of Jagan is harmed. Even the Telangana police is giving him full cooperation for his activities in Hyderabad, more than they give to TDP.

In turn, Jagan seems to be playing the card of 'virulent opposition' in Andhra Pradesh against Chandrababu Naidu. One should see the volley of shots on Jagan by TDP men, ministers and spokesman whenever he takes up any program. Be it his deeksha at Tanuku or even his sister Sharmila's padayatra in Telangana districts, the TDP men resort to mud sling him with CBI cases and alleged quid pro quo cases.

Likewise, Jagan is paying back to KCR by playing tyrant and also placing hurdles in the path of Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan's media wing Sakshi paper goes all out in favor of KCR's demands with regard to EAMCET and special status for Telangana. They have been attacking Naidu on forcible land pooling and also on the ' drama of loan waiver'. In a recent editorial, Sakshi had praised KCR for his releasing first installment of loan waiver without doing any high voltage drama of weeding out alleged bogus claims.

A senior political commentator said Jagan, still a learner in politics has been used by KCR to play his cards with regard to special status for Telengana and also in attacks on governors' powers on Hyderabad and police appointments.
