In the wake of BJP's disastrous performance in the Delhi assembly polls the Modi Government is likely to face face several set backs including that of criticism from friends and foes alike on the issue of special status for AP.

AP congress chief Raghuveera Reddy today lambasted the BJP for 8 month long delay in announcing economic package for AP after bifurcation . ' People of Delhi have woken up to the fallacy of Modi governance and hence they have defeated it ; he said adding that Delhi has left AP high and dry after getting all political advantage .

Raghuveera Reddy who is championing a One crore signature campaign for sake of special package from all over AP districts says that Modi govt has given only Rs.350 crore as against the eligibility of the state for Rs.24, 300 crore under the AP Reorganization Act ". If the UPA-3 was there Sonia Gandhi would have ensure speedy grant of funds by now , he asserted..

After its own debacle in AP the congress which could not bag a single MP or MLA seat in 2014 polls is now pitching a battle against both Modi and Chandrababu Naidu governments for failure in special status to AP and special package to North coastal andhra and Rayalaseema as mentioned in parliament when the Telangana bill was passed . ' The BJP is now shedding crocodile tears now after all it is a major partner in dividing the state against the wishes of the people of AP' avers Raghuveera Reddy.
