At last, the Red sander smuggling don and the kingpin in the land mine attack on then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in 2003, Gangi Reddy has been detained by the Interpol at Mauritius airport.

Gangi Reddy had allegedly bribed his way through all airports in India in close collusion with the then senior police officials and DGPs in 2012 and 2013 and the appeal and pleas of the TDP had gone unanswered.

Chandrababu had written in May 2014 itself to Governor Narasimhan that Gangireddy was a murderer and was a threat to his life (Chandrababu) during the election campaign. It may be recalled that Gangireddy had supplied information, material and support to the Maoists who had placed the claymore mines on the Alipiri ghat road at Tirupati on Oct.1, 2013.

Chandrababu Naidu has also been alleging that Jagan had met family members of Gangireddy during his tour of Anantapur district yesterday. "Many top guns of AP congress had helped Gangireddy escape the claws of justice," the TDP has charged.
