The advocates, led by member of Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, Muppalla Subba Rao and president of Rajahmundry Bar association B J S Diwakar also urged the centre to confer special status on Andhra Pradesh.Speaking on the occasion, Subba Rao reiterated that the Centre should fulfil all the provisions in the State Reorganisation Act and warned that advocates in Andhra Pradesh would launch agitation if the centre failed in this regard.

Senior advocate Madduri Subba Rao made it clear that every State should have a separate high Court as mandated by Constitution and the President of India should take decision on where to set up High Court. He said the relocation of High Court from Hyderabad meant shifting of entire administration to Andhra Pradesh. He felt that north Andhra Pradesh was an ideal place for location of High Court and added that there was a need to set up a bench in Rayalaseema.
