30 Red Sanders workers arrested in Chittoor District

Even after the Andhra Pradesh State Government taking strict measures, the Red Sandalwood Smuggling is on a rise in Chittoor District and the smugglers are creating a ruckus in the forests of Seshachalam.

Latest development is the smugglers are getting the workers from the neighbouring Tamil Nadu state to cut down the trees and smuggle the red sandalwood. The Chittoor police have stopped the smugglers by arresting 30 Red Sanders Workers at Chandragiri By-Pass Road while coming to work for the Mafia in Seshachalam forest from Chennai in a Tamil Nadu-state owned bus.

The Chittoor Police have taken the workers along with the bus driver into custody and investigation has begun.
