Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Kurnool and Nandyal recorded the maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius in the southern region on Thursday. The day temperatures rose in several towns across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. On Wednesday, the maximum temperatures rose at a few places in Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

430 Celsius recorded in four towns

Hyderabad: Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Kurnool and Nandyal recorded the maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius in the southern region on Thursday. The day temperatures rose in several towns across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. On Wednesday, the maximum temperatures rose at a few places in Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.


They were above normal at one or two places in Telangana and Rayalaseema and below normal at one or two places in coastal AP and were near normal over the rest of the region. The maximum temperatures recorded in Andhra Pradesh were: Bapatla 34, Kakinada 37, Kalingapatnam 34, Kavali 38, Machilipatnam 34, Nandigama 39, Narsapur 33, Nellore 39, Ongole 37, Jangamaheswarapuram 40, Tuni 32, Vijayawada 38, Visakhapatnam 33, Anantapur 41, Arogyavaram 38, Kadapa 40, Kurnool 43, Nandyal 43 and Tirupati 40.


The recordings in Telangana were: Adilabad 42, Bhadrachalam 38, Hakimpet 39, Hyderabad 41, Khammam 41, Mahabubnagar 43, Medak 40, Nizamabad 43 and Ramagundam 42. On Wednesday rainfall occurred at a few places in Rayalaseema. Isolated rainfall occurred in coastal AP while dry weather prevailed in Telangana.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm in Andhra Pradesh were: Chinna Mandem, Tirupati , Punganur 5 each, Seetharamapuram 4, Amalapuram, Cumbum, Vempalli, Venkatagiri Kota, Sambepalle, Palamaner , Shantipuram 3 each. The Met Office forecast isolated rain or thundershowers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next four days.
