Congress stages protests to highlight TDP govt failures
Congress leaders staged protests at different places in the city to highlight the failure of the TDP government in keeping its election promises. The protests were organised to coincide with the celebrations the government held on completing one year in office. Congress leaders delivered blistering attack on the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for reneging on his election promises.

APCC vice-president and former Minister Devineni Rajasekhar Nehru led the protest at the Sikhamani Center. Krishna district Congress president K Butchi Babu and other leaders, who took part in protest, criticised the government for denying welfare schemes to people.
The thrust of the criticism by the leaders was against Naidu for leaving the farmers and DWACRA women in the lurch by not delivering on his promise to write off their loans. Former MLA and city Congress president Malladi Vishnu led the protest at Lenin Centre.
