Section 8 needed: DGP Ramudu

AP DGP JV Ramudu opined that the Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act implementation is the need of the hour on law and order in Hyderabad thus keeping the debate open.

Although the DGP did not specify any reasons for supporting Section 8, he stated that it is necessary to invoke the Section in the present circumstances in Hyderabad and authorize the Governor to protect the residents of the common capital.

When questioned about the case filed against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on alleged phone tapping issue, the DGP said that it was too early to say anything as the Special Investigation Team is investigating the case and the investigation will take its own course.
