Director Boyapati Srinu has once again responded on the stampede on the banks of River Godavari that claimed 27 lives.
Director Boyapati Srinu has once again responded on the stampede on the banks of River Godavari that claimed 27 lives. The director landed in the controversy for his presence at the Pushkar Ghat. Several videos and pictures of Boyapati holding mic and instructing AP CM Chandrababu Naidu went viral on the social networking sites. Several politicians blamed him that because of the shooting, there was a long delay and that led to sudden surge of the devotees.

He recently tried to put an end to the rumours saying that he was not in Rajahmundry at the time of the stampede. With rumours surrounding the issues refusing to die down, the director once clarified on his presence.
"I was not there at the pushkar ghat during the stampede time. Not only in Pushkar Ghat, I was not there in Rajamundry itself," Boyapati said and added that he was there for the previous night's harathi program. Boyapati further said that he did not visit Rajahmundry for the purpose of short film.
