Clash of dharnas: YSRCP Vs TDP in Vijayawada

It's a war of dharna between the ruling Telugu Desam Party and main opposition YSR Congress Parties in Vijayawada. YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy began a dharna in front of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) in Vijayawada to protest against the TDP government's move to forcibly acquire the lands of farmers for the construction of the AP capital.

In retaliation, TDP Urban president Buddha Venkanna is all set to stage a protest at Gandhi statue. In order to avoid any untoward incidents, a heavy police force has been deployed in the city. Several YSRCP leaders including Marri Rajasekhar, P Gowtham Reddy, Jaleel Khan and others sat in the dharna along with the YSRCP chief.
