According to reports, Ramishetty Lakshmaiah, a native of Vedayapalem in the district, was found hanging on the ceiling fan of his room at his home. Reports said that a suicide note was found on the spot in which he stated that he was committing suicide for special status to AP.


On Wednesday, a 40-year-old man allegedly tried to commit suicide today at Pamarru area in Krishna district over Centre's delay in according special status to Andhra Pradesh. Chavali Subba Rao, who works as an electrician, attempted suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence but his wife stopped him.
