The demand for special status to Andhra Pradesh has gained momentum once again with disappointment coming from within AP CM Chandrababu's family.

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy undertook hunger strike over the special status issue. But the TDP leaders successfully hit back at Jagan and played down his moves. Now, with Chandrababu's brother-in-law and TDP MLA himself warning the Centre with dire consequences if special status was not granted, the TDP leaders seem to be in a dilemma.

Political analysts feel that Nandamuri Bala Krishna's warning will become an advantage for Jagan who raged a war demanding special status. There were reports that Chandrababu is reportedly angry with TDP MP Galla Jayadev for expressing disappointment over Prime Minister not announcing any special package or status for AP.

Analysts opine that Balayya's comments have become a serious concern for Chandrababu. They feel that Chandrababu cannot ask other leaders to refrain from making any comments against the Centre as Bala Krishna himself warned the Centre.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Somu Veerraju slammed Bala Krishna and Galla Jayadev for criticizing the Centre. He condemned the TDP leaders' statements on the Centre. He also said that they will resign from their posts and criticize the TDP government if required.
