As part of various educational support initiatives under Corporate Social Responsibility, the Reliance Industries Limited in association with the District Educational Department has started district-level quiz competition (RDAQ) to commemorate the 83rd birth anniversary of Reliance founder chairman Dhirubhai Ambani on December 28.
Rajahmundry: As part of various educational support initiatives under Corporate Social Responsibility, the Reliance Industries Limited in association with the District Educational Department has started district-level quiz competition (RDAQ) to commemorate the 83rd birth anniversary of Reliance founder chairman Dhirubhai Ambani on December 28.
This is the sixth edition of the RDAQ. As part of the programme, quiz competition at Amalapuram was completed on December 1. At Rampachodavaram, the contest was held on Wednesday. The competition has created a record with 300 students from 75 schools participating at Rampachodavaram and 550 students from 138 schools in the Rajahmundry division. Dr Teki from Nannaya University graced the occasion and addressed the students. He called upon the students to take an inspiration from Dhirubhi Ambani who had once worked in a petrol pump.
In a gripping preliminary round, eight teams were selected in the written test. Based on the regional quiz, three teams among the government and private school streams made it to the semi-finals.
The three government schools are Zilla Parishath High School, Vadisileru, Nivideta Kishore Aided School, Rajahmundry and Sri Gowthami Municipal High School, Mandapeta. The three private schools – Sri Vidhya High School, Rayavaram, Tripura International School and Little Paradise School, Rajahmundry made it to the semi-finals of the district-level quiz competition, The above mentioned schools will take part in the semi-finals likely to be held on December 24, 2015 at Kakinada.
Ravichandran Nageswaran, head of Support Services KGD 6 and Nanduri V Rao, head of Shore Base, Ramanamurthy, Senior Lead, CSR were present at the quiz programme. The CSR team, with the support of 20 other members, conducted the quiz competition successfully.
