Speaking on the occasion, ATA president Perikari Sudhakar said the main aim of the event was to motivate Telugu speaking people in the United States. He promised that ATS would stand by them during the time of any crises.

Announcing the winners in the dance and music competitions, Sudhakar said the winners in the competition would be taken to Chicago for international event at the ATA silver jubilee celebrations. ATA President-elect Asireddy Karunakar Reddy said the organisation would also strive for “save girl child” in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Meanwhile, as part of the event, the ATA in collaboration with Care4Autism (Autism Ashram) organised a 5K Run to spread awareness on Autism and the ‘Save the Girl Child’ initiative at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road on Saturday.

The ATA members had also visited all the 10 districts in Telangana and conducted several HIV awareness camps on December 17 and December 18. Legislative Council Chairman K Swamy Goud, Cultural Council Chairman Rasamayi Balakishan and many others participated in the event.
