Chittoor: Minister for Environment and Forests Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy has called upon the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and activists to take active role in Janmabhoomi programme. He said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wants to implement Janmabhoomi programme effectively.

Participating in the TDP district general body meeting held at party office here on Tuesday, the Minister felt that the Janmabhoomi programme would be an opportunity for the party workers to reach out to people and resolve their problems in the presence of officials concerned. He made an appeal to the elected representatives to give wide publicity for the Janmabhoomi which would be launched on January 1.

TDP district president G Srinivasulu has sought the cooperation of the leaders for strengthening the party. He informed party leaders to bear in mind that the YSRCP had won majority MLA seats from the district in the previous Assembly polls. “We have to fix our targets and ensure that the TDP should win all the 14 Assembly segments and two Lok Sabha seats in next general elections,” he added. He made it clear that the TDP would never tolerate indiscipline in the party.

Chittoor MP N Sivaprasad said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been making efforts to develop the state. He gave a call to party workers to strengthen the TDP in his native district. ZP Chairperson Girvani, TDP MLAs Satyaprabha, Shankar and Aditya, senior leaders Kuthuhalamma, Galla Aruna Kumari and other leaders were present.

Earlier, the TDP District Coordination Committee meeting was organised in which Gopalakrishna Reddy has reportedly warned the dissident groups in the party. Later, speaking to the media, the Minister said that the YSRCP would disappear in the next elections. He stated that YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy would face serious consequences in assets case.
