NGO provides relief material to flood-affected

Save the Children, an international NGO, provided relief material to the flood-affected families of Kota and Gudur mandals on Thursday. AP State Project Manager Alka Singh and other staff members distributed the food material as part of ration support. They also distributed blankets, mosquito nets, and hygienic kits to 500 families in both the mandals.

They also distributed blankets, mosquito nets, and hygienic kits to 500 families in both the mandals.

Alka singh said that they would focus on Child Rights along with empowerment of the vulnerable coastal communities in the coming four years in all project villages.

The NGO also extending support to child friendly centres at Gunnampadiya ST Colony, Gunnampadiya main village and Yamadinnepalem in Kota mandal. Later, representatives of NGO have interacted with children, who suffered during heavy rains and discontinued their studies.
