Vunnava (Guntur): Minister for Agriculture Prattipati Pulla Rao has said the Chandrababu Naidu government is committed to deliver benefits of all welfare and development schemes to all sections of people irrespective of political affiliations.

He was participating in the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme at Vunnava village in Yadlapudi mandal on Sunday.

Pulla Rao said that 13 lakh new ration cards were issued during the Janmabhoomi programme. The government was extending free clinical tests relating to 44 ailments to the poor in the government hospitals apart from extending special services to pregnant women through 102 vehicle during delivery. With the successful implementation of Neeru-Chettu programme, ground water table in the state had improved. In spite of deficit budget, the government had implemented the loan waiver as well as uninterrupted power supply to people, the Minister said.

Pulla Rao said that to offset the erratic monsoon conditions in the state, Rs 300 crore was allotted for promoting farm ponds in every farmer’s land so that water could be stored for future use. He said that all residents in Vunnava village have individual toilets. ZP Chaiperson Johny Moon and District Collector Kantilal Dande were present.
