Vijayawada: Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu released a collection of works by Acharya Kotha Sachidanandamurthy (Telugu, Hindi and English versions) at the 27th Vijayawada Book Festival here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkaiah Naidu said that books were windows to knowledge on past and present. Organising the book festival successfully for many years and the increasing number of visitors to it was overwhelming, he said.

“The compilation of Acharya Kotha Sachidanandamurthy in regional languages is task that was fulfilled in a short notice. His works give a profound outlook into issues,” he said.

Sachidanandamurthy’s sons were present during the release of the book along with Hindi Commission Chairman Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad and VBFS president B Babji.

Four books released
Four books published by Raghavendra Publishers (S R Book Links) were released at the ongoing book festival at Swarajya Maidan here on Saturday. The books titled ‘Manasu Mata- Gelupu Bata’ written by a lecturer K Rama Krishna was released by All India Radio station director M Krishna Kumari. Another book ‘Chaduvulo Geluddam Randi’ authored by Nanduri Venkata Subbarao was released by senior journalist C Raghavachary.

The book titled ‘Srimadh Bhagavad Gita’, penned by Talluri Seetharama Haragopal, was released by retired journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao. Another book titled ‘Andamaina Andhra Pradesh’ written by K Rama Krishna was released by AP Private Tutorials and Schools State president P Sundararam. The guests critically analysed the book and spoke about the subject matter on the occasion.
