YSR Congress Party MLA Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy was arrested by the Narasaraopet police on Monday. The MLA staged a dharna along with the villagers protesting against the road in the assigned lands at Ramireddypalem of Rompicherla mandal.

The MRO, who was on duty, filed a case against the MLA for obstructing his work. Responding to the complaint, the Narsaraopet rural police arrested the MLA and shifted him to the police station. Protesting against the arrest, the YSRCP staged a dharna in front of the police station.
