Anantapur: Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha asserted here on Saturday that her family was striving for upholding the ideals of her late husband Paritala Ravi and would always be committed to solving the problems of the poor.

In an interview with The Hans India, on the eve of Ravi’s death anniversary, Sunitha stated that the event would be organised here on Sunday in the presence of people from across the State.

She revealed that if TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu agrees her son Paritala Sriram was willing to contest the 2019 Assembly elections. ‘He will be willing to join politics if people wanted’, the Minister stated.

The mass marriage programme organised by Ravi would be taken forward by Sriram, under the auspices of Paritala Ravindra Trust, on a large scale.

The trust, she said, was taking up service programmes. It would conduct mass marriage programme for minorities next month. She recalled that 500 mass marriages were performed in the second year after Ravi’s death.

Sunitha stated that Ravi had worked selflessly for the uplift of the poor. She herself was continuing the work after joining politics without any motive.
