US envoy to visit GITAM
The United States Ambassador to India, Richard R Verma, is visiting GITAM University on February 12, according to press a release issued here on Tuesday.
Visakhapatnam: The United States Ambassador to India, Richard R Verma, is visiting GITAM University on February 12, according to press a release issued here on Tuesday.
Verma will discuss the possible tie-ups with the US intellectuals to prepare an action plan on Smart Cities particularly on Visakhapatnam. The other officials from the US Embassy and the US Consulate are accompanying the US ambassador during his visit.
They include US Consul General Michael C Mullins, Political and Economic Officer Peter McSharry, Public Affairs Officer Gabriel Hons-Olivier, Cultural Affairs Advisor Salil Kader, Political and Economic Specialist Siba Prasad Tripathy and Carnegie Mellon University Mechanical Engineering and Assistant Research Professor Dr Albert Presto.
They will interact with GITAM University officials and faculty. The university is making elaborate arrangements to receive the US ambassador.
