Vijayawada: The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) is going to present a budget of Rs 1,631 crore for the fiscal years 2016-17 in the budget sessions to be held at the council hall on Monday.
This is the second time the corporation got a Rs 1,000 plus crore budget after the Telugu Desam Party ruled council came to power. The standing committee under the leadership of Mayor Koneru Sreedhar already approved the capital budget in a meeting held on February 3.
