Ongole team wins Prakasam Premier League Tournament
The Ongole Siri Hospitals Cricket Club won the Gajula Krishnamurthy and Mantri Narasimharao Memorial Prakasam Premier League Tournament on Sunday.
Ongole: The Ongole Siri Hospitals Cricket Club won the Gajula Krishnamurthy and Mantri Narasimharao Memorial Prakasam Premier League Tournament on Sunday. Five teams-- Parchur Cricket Club, Chiral Everest Cricket Club, Markapuram Royals, Ongole Siri Hospitals Cricket Club and Kanigiri Cricket Club-- played in the tourney.
The final match of the tournament between the Kanigiri Cricket Club and Ongole Siri Hospitals Cricket Club was inaugurated by the Prakasam District SP Ch Srikanth. In the final match, the Ongole team won the toss and batted first to score 263 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. The Kanigiri team lost the finale by scoring just 138 runs for all out. Ch Kranthi Kumar of Ongole team who scored 114 runs in 115 balls, announced as player of the match.
