Rampa Chodavaram: Sub-Collector Ravi Pattan Setty has directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for Sivaratri festival to be celebrated on March 7.

The authorities are expecting 50,000 devotees to throng the temples during Sivaratri festivities at Rampa Chodavaram, Guramanda in Y Ramavaram mandal and Jeddangi in Rajavommangi mandal. He conducted a review meeting with tahsildars, organising committees and other officials at Rampa Chodavaram on Friday.

The Sub-Collector said that tahslidars would act as nodal officers and directed panchayat secretaries to maintain sanitation at pilgrim sites. He directed the Medical department officials to set up medical camps. He also instructed Fire department officials to deploy fire fighters for the safety of pilgrims. He directed APTransco officials to provide uninterrupted power supply during the festival.
