Visakhapatnam: Rashitrya Ispat Nigam Limited, the holding company of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, launched Vidya Vikas programme as a part of its CSR activities to provide additional classrooms, toilets and other infrastructural facilities to ZP High School in Gajuwaka.

P Madhusudan, CMD of RINL unveiled the plaque on this occasion in the presence of Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, here on Sunday. The MLA inaugurated classrooms and other infrastructural facilities.

Speaking on this occasion, the MLA complimented CMD and directors for taking initiatives and said that around 1,500 students were going to benefit immensely with these additional facilities. More girl students can be enrolled in the school with the increase in bathrooms and classrooms, he said.

He advised the school management to work hard for getting better results in the coming years. He assured that he will extend all help for using Vizag Steel products in the construction of AP’s new capital city Amaravathi.
Madhusudan said RINL has provided five additional classrooms, 10 toilets- 5 each for girls and boys, volleyball- cum-handball court and furniture all costing Rs 49 lakh.
