Hyderabad: The High Court at Hyderabad pulled up the CID for its tardy investigation into Akshaya Gold scam and warned that the investigation can be handed over to any other agency. A division bench comprising of Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt expressed serious doubts over the investigation.

The kingpins in the scam are roaming scot-free while their benamies are put in place as chairman and members of the board, the bench remarked. It felt that the authorities have wasted two years of time in gathering key information relating to the scam. It ordered that the complete details relating to the company and the progress of investigation must be placed before the court by April 21.
