Lokesh in Cabinet demand gets louder
The campaign for inducting Nara Lokesh into the State Cabinet has reached a new high on Thursday on the eve of Ugadi celebrations and the birthday bash of Nara Devansh, grandson of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu has invited all Ministers, TDP MLAs, IAS officers for the bash which would be held on Friday.
​Vijayawada: The campaign for inducting Nara Lokesh into the State Cabinet has reached a new high on Thursday on the eve of Ugadi celebrations and the birthday bash of Nara Devansh, grandson of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu has invited all Ministers, TDP MLAs, IAS officers for the bash which would be held on Friday. While most of the Ministers and MLAs stopped at saying that Lokesh should be inducted into the cabinet, the IT minister went a step ahead and described Lokesh as future CM.
The Irrigation Minister felt that Naidu should have made Lokesh to contest in the last assembly elections itself and should have inducted him in the first cabinet of AP. “Better late than never, he should be made Minister immediately,” he added.Meanwhile, YSRCP takes strong objection to the way the ruling party is planning to induct Naidu's son into the State cabinet.
YSRC spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said, "TDP is making efforts to turn Lokesh as an extra-constitutional authority, by bringing him into the Cabinet. Naidu's son is expert in purchasing MLAs and leaders belonging to the Opposition. If he is inducted into the cabinet, imagine in the fate of the State."
