Press Club have celebrated Ugadi.

Nellore: As part of Ugadi celebrations, Panchanga Sravanam, Kavi Sammelan and cultural and literary programmes were held at Kasturba Kalakshetram here on Friday. Brahmasri Mylavarapu Srinivasa Rao rendered the ‘Panchanga Sravanam’.
MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, who was chief guest of the event, wished that the State would make good progress in the New Year with good agriculture yield and other developments. Legislators K Sanjeevaiah, K Ramakrishna and others also participated.
Joint Collector A Md Imtiyaz said there would be good progress in the district as per almanac predictions. He received blessings from Veda Pandits during the occasion along with other guests. Ten local poets recited poems on various subjects organised in connection with the fest.
Senior officials- Additional Joint Collector Salmon Rajkumar, DRO M Sudarshan Reddy, ZP CEO Ramireddy, municipal commissioner K Venkateswarlu, TG special collector Markandeyulu and others were present. Further, cultural events were organised at ACSR Stadium where elaborate arrangements were made for food festival and other programmes.
