Lorry hits car, student dies

A post graduate student was killed in an accident near the Collectorate here on Tuesday. Sub-Inspector K Narayana Rao informed that K Rajkiran (23), a resident of Vuda Colony, was travelling towards Gajapathinagaram, along with his friend Sameeruddin, in a car.

After reaching K L Puram, a speeding lorry hit the car in which they were travelling and dragged it for 100 metres from the spot. Rajkiran, who was driving the car, received serious injuries died on the spot, while his friend Sameeruddin was seriously injured and was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Police registered a case and took up investigation.
