The results of the Polycet – for admission into polytechnic courses - were released by the Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Ganta Srinivasa Rao at Andhra University here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, he informed that as many as 1,01,976 candidates out of 1,32,375 candidates that appeared for the test qualified. “Girls fared well with 87.51 per cent qualified, while 80.27 per cent of boys qualified,” he added.

The Minister stated that the rank cards would be available in websites: https://polytet ap.nic.in, www.schools9.com, www.manabadi.com and www.vidhyavision.com.

Rank would be communicated to the candidate via SMS to the registered mobile number. Srinivasa Rao said that the notification for web counseling would be released by the commissioner of technical education shortly.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that counseling would likely be in the first week of June. The notification would be treated as a call letter for web counseling and no separate information would be sent. Candidates failing to attend the certificates verification on the said the dates would be ineligible for admission.

Principal secretary for higher education Sumita Dawra, commissioner for technical education B Uday Lakshmi, AU in-charge VC Prof E A Narayana, MLA P Vishnukumar Raju, MLC G Srinivasulu Naidu and others were also present.
