Vijayawada: A Ravali, a member of the Indian team for the World University Archery Championship, to be held at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia from June 1 to 5, was felicitated in the city on Saturday. A first year MBA student of Montessori Mahila Kalasala, she will attend the national coaching camp for the world archery championship at Punjabi University in Patiala from May 12.
Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao presented a cheque for Rs 1,93,640 to Ravali at the felicitation function. Krishna University is sponsoring Ravali’s participation in the world championship. University ice-Chancellor S Ramakrishna Rao, Registrar D Suryachandra Rao, Sports Board secretary N Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
