Interestingly, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu himself called a YSRCP MLA over the phone and invited him to the party. According to reports, Chandrababu invited YSRCP MLA and West Godavari district party in-charge Kothapalli Subbarayudu to join his party and he is also believed to have agreed to it.

The reports also suggest that he told Chandrababu that he would join TDP for the development of his constituency. Kothapalli Subbarayudu is one of the prominent leaders from the Kapu community and he served in Chandrababu and NTR's cabinets in the past.
