Rayalaseema Range IGP inspects police records in District Police Office

Chittoor: Inspector General of Police, Rayalaseema Range, N Sridhar Rao, laid emphasis on using technology for effective policing. He gave a call to police officials to make use of technology in maintaining law and order and resolving cases at the earliest. He instructed police personnel to keep abreast themselves with latest technological trends.

The IGP visited District Police Office here on Tuesday and inspected records pertaining to the Police department. District SP G Srinivas, Additional SPs Abhishek Mohanty and V Ratna and other police officials were present on the occasion. Reviewing the progress of police functioning in the district, the IGP directed police officials to curb red sanders smuggling in the district. He appreciated SP for bringing down the smuggling of red sanders logs.

Sridhar Rao instructed police officials to keep a vigil on rowdy sheeters and anti-social elements to bring down the crime rate. He asked policemen to give priority for women and neglected sections of the society. Rao exhorted police personnel to meet the expectations of higher officials in implementation of bio-metric process and e-challan system. The IGP further said performance of the Community Police Officers should be monitored by district police. Later, the SP gave PowerPoint presentation over the achievements of the district police. The DSPs and CIs have attended the review meeting.
