AgriGold main accused prefer custody to bail?
Although the West Godavari District Sessions Judge Court on Friday sanctioned conditional bail to the main accused of the AgriGold multi crore scam, sources reveal that the accused are not willing to avail the opportunity to offset legal hurdles arising out of the same.
Eluru: Although the West Godavari District Sessions Judge Court on Friday sanctioned conditional bail to the main accused of the AgriGold multi crore scam, sources reveal that the accused are not willing to avail the opportunity to offset legal hurdles arising out of the same.
The District Principal Sessions Judge N Tukaramji, after hearing the bail plea of the two accused, sanctioned bail ordering both accused to pay Rs 5 lakh each as bank guarantee. He also told accused to attend before CID officials every Thursday and Sunday at Rajahmundry.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the two accused did not produce the surety after the bail was sanctioned. As they have to face cases in Telangana, Karnataka and other states, the accused are not interested in applying for surety in order to avoid further investigations by different states’ CID wing officials.
The accused are of the view it would be better to apply for bail once after all cases are routed to a particular place.
