Ministers launch Ananta Milk
Anantapur: Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha and IT Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy launched the ‘Ananta Milk’ produced by self-help group women under the supervision of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA). The SHG groups have opened 20 milk outlets in the city.
Launching the brand ‘Ananta Milk’, Civil Supplies Minister Sunitha described the milk produced by the SHG women as ‘pure and unadulterated’. She said that people's health was paramount and the need to make pure and healthy milk available to people was the need of the hour.
She hoped that the ‘Ananta Milk’ would fill the vacuum in the market as people were opting for pure and healthy milk. She hoped that the mission of the women would be a big success. She said that the question of affiliating the product to government run Vijaya Dairy would be considered at a later stage.
Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy said that the milk produced by SHG women were trustworthy and reliable. He expressed confidence that the milk would be able to capture the market and earn the reputation as a producer of pure milk.
