Tadepalligudem: In a bid to enhance the skills of youth, the Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao announced to set up a National Skill Development Training Centre in the Tadepalligudem town soon at the Chandranna Udyoga Mela programme here on Saturday.

Attending the job mela as a chief guest, organised by the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation at the Shasi Engineering College, the minister said that job oriented training would be imparted to the youth. The Union government approved the proposal of establishing the training centre and the guidelines would be prepared soon, he added.

Asking the unemployed youth to develop soft skills and subject knowledge for getting employment, the minister quoted the Prime Minister of utilising young human resources by developing skills. Through skilled workers, the Naidu govt has aimed to encourage software, hardware and service sectors in the state, he added.

The Kapu Corporation would sanction Rs10 lakh as a subsidised loan to a group of five youth to set up industries here.

The State government has also sanctioned a grant of Rs10 lakh for the reserved quota youths who want to study abroad. About 3,000 youth registered their names in the job mela.
