The association said that they will organise more tournaments in the coming days to provide competitive atmosphere among the budding shuttlers and children in a bid to encourage them and to spot talented players so that they can be groomed.
Visakhapatnam: The Badminton Players Parents Association will be conducting a district-level badminton tournament for boys and girls in the under-10 13 and 15 age groups at Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium in the city on June 9 and 10.
The association said that they will organise more tournaments in the coming days to provide competitive atmosphere among the budding shuttlers and children in a bid to encourage them and to spot talented players so that they can be groomed.
Director of Sports, GVMC, Y Srinivas released a poster of the tournament on Saturday. The tournament is open to players from Vizag district, veteran international player and former many-time State champion KP Naik, association office-bearers Ch Ramakrishna, SSN Raju, D Chandrasekhar Sanyasi Rao and Suryanarayana Rao informed at a press conference.
