Thunderstorms forecast for AP
A thunderstorm/squall warning for three days from June 11 both for coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema at isolated places was issued by the Met department, as the South-west Monsoon further advanced into some parts of south coastal AP and Rayalaseema on Friday.

The Met office said the trough from Chhattisgarh to south Telangana runs across Telangana and Rayalaseema. Also the upper air cyclonic circulation over the head Bay now lies over the north-east Bengal and its neighbourhood. These will yield heavy rainfall from June 11 to 13 in the two regions.
While thunderstorms will occur on June 11 and 12, there will be light to moderate rain/thundershowers at a few places in coastal AP and Rayalaseema. No large change during the subsequent two days is the weather outlook. During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, rain occurred at isolated places in the two regions.
