Eluru: M Mutyalanaidu vice chancellor of Adikavi Nannayya University (AKNU) called upon the students to inculcate the desire to develop the country on all fronts.

He was the chief guest at the graduation ceremony of St. Theresa’s Autonomous College held here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the vice-chancellor said that the students should strive to achieve their goals.

MLC and former principal of Sir CR Reddy College R Surya Rao suggested the students to not to leave the habit of reading. He implored the students to serve the society.

Principal of St Theresa’s College Sister Mercy presented the college report and administered the oath to graduate students. Mutyalanaidu presented the degree certificates to the graduates.

This is the first graduation ceremony in AKNU jurisdiction. Nine students received gold medals and eight students received the Pratibha awards.
Controller of examinations Sister Sunila Rani, assistant controller of examinations E Rajyalakshmi, director of PG courses Sister Marietta Demello and other college staff were present.

Shaik Ayesha, Kondeti Harika, Vardhanapu Angela Prasanthi, Dundi Venkata Surya, Koleempudi Pravallika, Pedapudi Naga Durga, Sunkara Roja, Merugu Vasanthi received the State government’s Pratibha awards.
