Chiittoor: Devotees shying away to visit the famous Ardhagiri Veeranjaneya Swamy temple located at Aragonda village in the district due to lack of facilities. The Aragonda village is at a distance of 25 km from Chittoor and 15 km from Kanipakam temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Veeranjaneya Swamy and managed by Endowment department.

P Sugunakara Reddy, one of the family members belonging to Apollo Group of Hospitals was trustee of Ardhagiri temple for few years.
During his tenure, few rest rooms were constructed for the devotees and parking facility was provided. A cement ghat road was laid to the temple so that devotees can drive their vehicles near to the temple.

Devotees turn out is less as temple lacks minimum facilities. The temple has no free rest rooms. The RTC operates a very few buses from Chittoor and Tirupati. Heavy influx of devotees will be witnessed only on the auspicious day of Pournami.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, Assistant Commissioner of Endowments Rajeswara Reddy admitted that facilities have to be improved to attract more devotees. He assured of appointing a trust board for developing amenities for devotees at the temple.
