International Society for Krishna Consciousness to hold contest on life history of Prabhupada
Speaking to the media, Satya Gopinath Das said the competition is being organised to enlighten youth about the life of Srila Prabhupada, who has transformed the lives of many people. He explained that the competition is being organised in three categories for the students from class VI to X.
Rajamahendravaram: As part of worldwide golden jubilee celebrations of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), it is conducting a statewide contest on the life history of founder of ISKCON Srila Prabhupada, president of ISKCON Rajamahendravaram branch, Sri Satya Gopinath Das said here on Saturday.
Speaking to the media, Satya Gopinath Das said the competition is being organised to enlighten youth about the life of Srila Prabhupada, who has transformed the lives of many people. He explained that the competition is being organised in three categories for the students from class VI to X.
He said, “Winner at State-level in the first category would get Rs 1 lakh and his counterpart at district level would get Rs 10,000. In the second category, the winner would get Rs 75,000 at State-level and his counterpart at district level would get Rs 7,500. In the third category, winner at State-level would get Rs 50,000 and his counterpart at district level would get Rs 5,000.
Satya Gopinath Das said the 100-mark objective type test had been specially designed for students and added that examinations would be held in all 13 districts in State. He said that they would receive applications from July 11 to 31 and added that examination would be held on September 18. For more details, one can visit ISKCON Rajahmundry app from July 11.
