Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Friday asked the government employees to work to increase the satisfaction levels of the people.

The Chief Minister addressed the employees and officers of the Heads of Departments (HoDs) here. He wanted every department to improve its performance in line with the government’s vision.He said that technology and the vision would considerably save time and money for the government in delivering services to the people.

He said that the government had started the Fibre Grid programme in the State to provide television, telephone and internet to the people at the lowest price. Every household in the city would be connected with internet, he said and added that the Smart Pulse Survey launched by the government on Friday would help in having minute details of every family on hand.

This would ensure extending the benefits to every family, he said. He asked the officials and employees to make use of the survey results in extending better services to the people. The Chief Minister said that the government is preparing 300 proposals to attract investment in the State. He wanted the employees to understand the seven missions and five grids that the government had launched last year.

The development plans and the welfare programmes of the government are based on these missions and grids, he said and asked them to read and understand them.

He also wanted the officials and the staff to come up with proposals that the government would require to introduce or modify to win the confidence of the people. He said he is always open to the suggestions and asked them to support him by extending constructive support.

Referring to the green belt development in the State, the Chief Minister asked the officials to promote plantation. He said that the five crore population in the State should plant 50 crore saplings and thus increase the greenery. He advised the employees to give additional marks to the students and priority to employees in promotions and transfers if they joined the green mission.

He asked the officials to introduce new technology to shift trees from road sides instead of cutting them for road widening. He asked them to study every technology available in the world and try to introduce the same in the State for the better results.
