Ration dealer faces Collector’s wrath.
Collector Challa Vijay Mohan ordered the RDO to impose penalty on the dealer who did not distribute rice to the Annapurna Antodya Yojana (AAY) card holders of Chenchu Gudem. Vijay Mohan paid a visit to Chenchu Gudem on return journey after inspecting the Pushkar works at Sangameshwaram on Sunday.
Kurnool: Collector Challa Vijay Mohan ordered the RDO to impose penalty on the dealer who did not distribute rice to the Annapurna Antodya Yojana (AAY) card holders of Chenchu Gudem. Vijay Mohan paid a visit to Chenchu Gudem on return journey after inspecting the Pushkar works at Sangameshwaram on Sunday.
Vijay Mohan went to the houses and enquired about the distribution of rice to AAY card holders. He vented ire on the dealer, who did not distribute rice to the card holders, and ordered the Revenue Divisional Officer to suspend the dealer and appoint another dealer.
He also ordered the RDO to secure information by pressing the tahsildars into the field to know about the distribution of rice in the 42 Chenchu hamlets.
The Collector ordered the RDO to impose a fine on the negligent dealer and warned of criminal case and suspension of dealership if repeated in future.
The Collector assured new house constructions after holding talks with the RDT when brought to the notice of the Collector about the condition of their houses by the Chenchus.
